Creamery Grocery Lasierra

CREAMERY GROCERY LASIERRA
Cl Rosselló 160
Barcelona

Hello everyone!

I've been away for a long time, because of my collaboration with the
Barcelona Barça Volleyball Club to create a sitting volleyball team which has needed all my attention.

Many months ago, I visited this specialized establishment that deserves our full attention and is managed by Mr. Ramon Lasierra, the current owner. Open since 1900, his father bought it in 1953 when it was still called The New Wonder, as evidenced by a picture hanging in the shop.

His father believed that the few store sales had to do with the original name and changed it to the current Mantequería Lasierra Grocery, store specializing in the sale of wines and champagnes, spirits and all kind of
canned.

He also told me that
Lasierra name comes from Pallaruelo of Monegros village, where his grandfather was the first to trade outside of the province with honey, nuts and its flagship product: the hand-roasted coffee.

Customers of all Barcelona buy at the grocery store (located in an important pathway) high quality products made by small producers and artisans, chosen based on their quality and price, offering: wines from different appellations of origin, nougat, biscuits, sausages, jams, etc.

Ramón Lasierra explains that the store is placed in a good area of passage and customers come from all quarters of the city.

The price / quality ratio and the purchasing power of the people of the neighborhood in which it is located, make this old grocery store, a must visit in the itinerary of the emblematic city business.
