This establishment dating to 1898 located in the Eixample district of Barcelona offers gourmet products (delicatessen) from several places of Spain. Anis del Mono and Cava Monistrol glass posters on their façade proclaim grocery's modernist character. Mr. Joan Múrria and his team of gastronomic experts provide personalised attention when advising their customers: more than 200 cheeses from the most varied and proven manufacture -including some almost forgotten in the Spanish Pyrenees-, Catalan and Spanish cured meats, foie gras, Iranian and Catalan caviar. All are delicacies that Joan Múrria asks to the very diverse suppliers. He sells also wines and spirits of great prestige, including champagne and wine under Múrria brand.

Colmado Múrria is a member of Turismo de Barcelona along with the most prestigious establishments that integrate the “Shopping Line” commercial axis. It is also part of the “Ruta Modernista” (Art Nouveau itinerary) that the Barcelona City Hall has organized for guided tours of the city.

The grocery store has received numerous awards and medals of the City of Barcelona and its current owner is a regular contributor to Catalunya Radio and culinary consultant in some publications.
